SEA COMMANDER FIBERGLASS FLOATS

Sea Commander floats are designed for the serious modeler who wants the best and most dependable float that money can buy. Sea Commander floats are built to take the punishment of hard landings or taxiing onto rough beaches, etc. The three layers of fiberglass cloth and isophthalic resin make all the Sea Commander floats light, yet very strong and extremely durable for rugged conditions. Sea Commander floats have an 18 degree "V" bottom to help cushion the impact of hard landings and for ease of directional control.

The scale mounting positions and the water rudder mounting position have been reinforced with a 1/4" high density composite material. When a #4 sheet -metal screw was installed in this material, numerous pull-tests of 100 lbs. showed no movement of the screws nor was there any sign of failure of the reinforced area.

Sea Commander floats are joined with a structural adhesive formulated for joining fiberglass. All floats are pressure checked for leaks before shipping.

In addition to being the toughest float available, Sea Commander floats are easy to finish because they come ALMOST READY TO FLY! You install fittings, paint and mount on your airplane. All float orders include mounting guidelines and fiberglass finishing guidelines.
